Everything in Between

So, it’s been over a month since I created this site and published my first post.

Just like the last time

If you’ve read my introduction post, you’ll know that I tried to blog in 2016 but failed badly. And, I did it again. I let what people think get in my head. Also, I had my heart broken. But, that’s a story I’ll share some other time. Right now it’s about how I let my mind come up with excuses that stopped myself from posting.
I visited a lot of new cities since I started this. Small cities like Cambridge, Orangeville and more. In addition, I saw Niagara City, Mississauga, Brampton and places around Toronto from a new perspective. I had so much to write about. However, somebody told me how since I started using too much of Social media, I have become a bad person. No, they didn’t exactly say those words but it was something along that line. Moreover, I believe I got lazy as well.

Should I have what others think affect me ?

Probably not !

On the contrary I should’ve believed in myself. Not even just that I should’ve just accepted that I enjoy this and that I can be lazy most of the times but it’s okay. That it’s okay to fall back sometimes. But we are only human right. It’s not easy to be strong, It’s not easy to overcome your fear of being judged and abandoned.

What made a difference

It was a quite an interesting evening yesterday. I met with a friend for dinner. Totally off topic: I love trying new food places. Love all sorts of food. But that’t not the point.
Last night I found myself talking to this friend about self-love. I think we were trying to figure out how to balance the external expectations whilst doing things that we love. I heard myself making points on how :

  • We need to stop feeling guilty about loving ourselves more than anybody else or making ourselves a priority
  • The future is not guaranteed which is why it so important to live happily today. It’s the time to explore places you’ve never been to
  • It’s okay to not be okay at the end of the day
  • You can still respect others but not agree with their opinions or what they have to say about you

One good conversation can shift the change of direction forever – Linda Lambert

Whether you want to have a positive or negative conversation with somebody is all on you. But, when it comes to who you talk about your problems, always choose wisely. One conversation can make a lots of difference

I think it’s safe to say that I will give this a go again.
